Ok, James here, first up I'm sorry I've been very quiet, work on essays and reports and a general running about has prevented me from commenting on here via my main profile, and in particular doing my once-promised review of the Key to Time. I saw the first story The Ribos Operation and then loved the first two episodes of Pirate Planet but since ( Read more... )

I like to see Borg try assimilating Daleks, and what will happen.

Hmmm, interesting question. I suspect it would depend how many Borg Drones would try to assimilate the Daleks and died before they adapted to the Dalek's death rays... and whether Daleks would be able to modify their weapons accordingly. Personally my money's on the Daleks.

In any case, I think I'll be having Cybermen vs Borg as the final battle since they'll be meeting up in the comic - I'm intending of a mixture of aliens nice, evil, cute and utterly terrifying to go up against each other! Though picking the counterparts for the Daleks outside the Borg might be tough...

The Sontarans and the TOS Klingons would make an interesting Who/Trek team up or battle and the Rutans and the Founders from DS9. Those are the only ones I can think of besides The Borg and The Cybermen.

Yes, I did consider Klingons (Classic or modern). vs Sontarans (though the Cardassians or Jem Ha'dar also seem a logical choice). Rutans and Founders are a definite. There's also going to be battles of the cute (Adipose vs Tribbles) the god like (Celestial Toymaker vs Q) and the scary (Weeping Angels vs Species 8472).

The hardest one to sort out is who face the Daleks since the Borg are taken. And also trying to think of an ideal space faring opponent for the Doomsday Device from TOS.

What about Nomad from the TOS episode "The Changeling" as an opponent for The Daleks?

Hmmmm, well certainly worth a thought though I haven't actually seen the Nomad episode. Another three TOS related battles might be Gorn vs Ice Warriors, Apollo vs Sutekh and Saturnyns vs Salt Vampires. Finalising the list at the moment, trying to get a nice balance between the four shows of Trek I watched as a kid. :)
