Kingdom A&S / weekend wrapup

Went to Kingdom A&S on Saturday, and by the end of the day my brain hurt badly... soooo much good information. Plus plenty of time hanging out and chatting with friends.

Two funny anecdotes...

• We stopped by Starbucks on the way out of town, and the lady at the drive up window asked if we were "going to Seattle". The looks of confusion on our faces

I was helping over in the tally area so when court came around I had a different perspective than the usual audience perspective. I thought the cameras were a bit much too but I also remembered how we all felt when DL became a barony. I took butt-loads of pictures then but we were outside so it wasn't as distracting. I really don't blame everyone for wanting pictures of that historic event.

I know the feeling when it comes to people not understanding your particular nerd predilection. I used to Bellydance American Tribal Style which is a little darker and grittier looking than Egyptian Style. We did a show one time as an opening act for Skid Row (hey, it was a gig) and the newspaper said we looked like extras from "Cats". Whatevs. :)
