Elise is walking
Elise started walking on Monday March 10th. She started out walking some pretty long distances (10+ steps at a time) and has just gotten better and better. She is pretty competent right now and can turn around and squat to pick things up ( Read more... ) -
Weekend!
On Thursday, Aubrey's Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Mike showed up to spend the night before they headed down to Phoenix to watch their son Lyl play baseball. Tumacacori Road Race
The circuit was about 6 miles long and the first 1 was rolling, miles 2-3.5 were horrendous chip-seal with some really steep (10-12%) ramps. These steep bits were fairly short and they were power climbs and not drawn out affairs ( Read more... ) -

kitty doors and grandparents
Yesterday while I was on the trainer, Elise figured out how to go through the kitty door into the garage. Evidently she has take our recommendations to "go backwards" down the stairs and off the couch well enough that she was confident enough to back out the kitty door ( Read more... ) -

Elise has learned to hide things...
For the last couple of days, Aubrey has been looking for her keys.
She found them today when Elise was pulling toys out of the toy compartment of her little pink Jeep. In other words, she has started taking interesting things and putting them somewhere "for safe keeping." -
Oracle Road Race
I just heard about this race last weekend so I asked Aubrey to let me do an early season race just to check where my fitness was. We made arrangements to head down to Tucson and see the folks Saturday night and do the race on Sunday ( Read more... ) -
First race of the season is this weekend!
There is a new race on the AZ calendar. It has a moderately long 4% climb in it that should make it hard. The field is pretty large (over 50!) and we'll see where my fitness is.
