Awww, poor Brooke. It would've been so hard to leave Lucas like she did, but if she really couldn't go through with it then it was probably better to go through the pain then and get it over with rather than end up in an unhappy marriage or divorced later on. *huggles Brooke*

I love this and I can't wait to read the next part. It was really sweet of both Karen and Nathan to offer their places - very In-Character for Karen IMO because even though Lucas is her son and Brooke sorta broke his heart, Karen is really a mother to them all and she wouldn't let Brooke sleep in her car or whatever. :D

I know. I think maybe in season four that's why Brooke broke up with Lucas. Why go through all that pain again when she can easily end it (in a rather vague and emotional way)?

Thank you; I was really worried about that part. I remember Karen taking Brooke in somewhere in season two, and I think Karen is the type of person who would do that for the people she cares about - or knows. I also think Brooke sees Karen as a mother, since her own really isn't mother-material.
