Work: Sorry, but you just have to deal. Unless you think you're in a financially free enough situation that you can quit your current job and look for another one. And you just got into a mortgage, so you gotta just keep pushing :/

Creativity: Clean up your area on the weekend after sleeping in. Set a time to do it, set a time you'll be done with it, set some time to actually do something with your newly-cleaned space. As for finding friends, try to look for crafting clubs in your area. See if there's a Michaels nearby that holds classes for crafting. Join some crafting forums and find some people nearby.
