Planning and Saving, Saving and Planning

Okay, so I know I've talked online coupons before. Can you blame me? Joel's still job hunting, but there are things we're going to need in the future. Until I have the money set aside for us to do whatever we want, we have to save for anything we need. So I surf around, and invariably wind up somewhere with either really good deals, or coupons ( Read more... )

I have to say, our lives completely changed when we went wireless and lappy. I'm not sure it was for the best either. Now we can sit on the couch, watch TV and play on the computer....but really, he's next to me on the couch, I shouldn't have to send him an EMAIL to get his attention! GRR

::laughs:: Wow, that is pretty bad. Joel and I would chat on AIM occassionally when the computers were both working and right next to each other, but it was more of a joke than anything. If I said "Hey, Joel" he'd still answer. XD

Jer gets very absorbed in what he's doing, just the television alone is enough to have to reach out and TOUCH him to get him to notice you are talking to him. The lappy just makes it that much worse.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I'm glad Joel isn't like that.

It's quite odd that your townhouse is new construction (if I remember right) and you only have one cable jack in your living room. Most new construction has one on the two walls, which are usually opposite of each other. This lets people decide which wall to place the TV on and such.

You might, if the computer stays in the living room and the wires are too much to handle, can get your cable provider to install another jack where needed. The last time we had to have one installed, I don't remember it being that expensive or anything.

Also, you are one of the few people I know of that actually still uses a house phone ^_^;. Most people I know have gone solely to cell phones.

Well, unless I'm mistaken, we only have the one. Then again, our livingroom is butt up against our dining room and kitchen. Livingroom only has three walls: one of them having a big double window, and the other being across from said window, and being really short, as it's only about as wide as the bathroom/stairwell.

I've considered that for the phone, too, so I could have it in the kitchen. I'll have to look into it.

Use the phone? Nah. Come with my package of internet and cable? Yea. It's also good to have around because, well, our cell phones don't get the best reception in the house. But not many people have the number. Hell, I don't even remember it.
