So I may have mentioned that there's something wrong with my computer at home. Well, you might all be wondering what, and why, and why I'm never online anymore it seems, except at work, when that used to be all I did at home. Joel's video card bit the dust... then his monitor quickly followed suit. We don't have the funds to fix his computer

Virus protection is something that is worth the purchase. I've been using Norton for 7 years with little problem. Some also have built-in firewalls, pop-up blockers, and hardware performance improvements. I also have the internet-security, which prevents viruses on websites and emails from transferring to my computer.

As far as if it can fix the computer, it really all depends on what the virus is. Some have coding to prevent antivirus software from being installed or can 'contaminate' it as it's being added.
