Haha, I lol'ed at that. I might watch this season after all. But then, what did the Huddies expect (you're right about the shipper names...Hilson *shudders*), the finale was written by Doris Egan, patron saint of House/Wilson :D :D
Yeah, those portmanteau names are so annoying. I hate them in real life (Bennifer, Brangelina, TomKat argh!) and I hate them in fandom (Spuffy, Hilson, Huddy argh!). I mean, fandom got on quite happily for years with, you know, Kirk/Spock - hell, that's where the 'slash' in slash comes from. I absolutely categorically refuse to use them.
I use Huddy and Ham, because it sounds ridiculous. But other than that I always use the full names + /. I'm still surprised the House/Wilson fandom now uses Hilson, because I remember them hating it in the beginning when some site came up with those nicknames for ships. Also it reminds me of an Everwood episode where they made fun of those nicknames for pairings, because the main couple had one too (Ephramy - Ephram/Amy).
HAHAHAHA reading your comment made me wonder what, if Kirk/Spock had a cutsey portmanteau name, it would be. THINK ABOUT IT GUISE IT WOULD BE HILARIOUS.
Also, I'm not a huge fan of them either although sometimes I will use them out of laziness. XD
