Two of my friends are getting married in March, another one has just got engaged, one friend had a baby yesterday, another is being induced today, another is due in April, another's wife is due in the summer... My Facebook feed is getting so boring ( Read more... )

Obviously I'm behind the times and just read this :) Even though I'm the one who was being induced in this post and now have a baby, it's still very surreal. I do think the society expectations cause lots of people (maybe even myself) to go down paths that they weren't 100% sure about. Having a baby was a big decision and in the end we kind of left it up to chance. I still don't feel like I'm adult enough to have a baby! He's wonderful and I love him, but if I were to stop and think about this all too much, I'd probably have a panic attack lol

On another note, we'd still love for you to visit again soon and I'd be more than happy to have just some girl time :) Once Brady is a little older we will start planning a trip to you too!

I think you've got a pretty iron-clad excuse for not keeping up with Livejournal! How is little Braiden doing? And you and Mike, how are you finding being new parents? It must be amazing and overwhelming and terrifying all at the same time!

I would love to come out and see you guys, it's all about pennies at the moment, LOL!

Things are going really well actually. Braiden is SUCH a good baby! He really doesn't cry much and is sleeping well for a newborn. It was intimidating at first, but I've fallen into a routine easier than I would have thought. Only thing that is hard is not getting more than 3 consecutive hours of sleep at a time. I know that will pass in a few more weeks though. Mike went back to work last week and that was sad. It was nice having him home, but my mom and MIL both come over any day I need them so I've had lots of help and company :)

It does still seem very surreal though. I can't believe we have a baby!!!
