I didn't realise that members of the House of Lords couldn't vote in general elections. I mean, I understand the historical reasoning - the Lords don't need to vote for someone to represent their views in Parliament since they can represent themselves ( Read more... )

I voted early too, about twenty past seven. Really wanted a cuppa tea and bacon butty stand. Someone should do that next time :-)

There was a woman outside my polling station random giving little mini packets of lovehearts to people! :)
