♥ Day Five: Favorite female character on a male-driven showHmm, this is tough, because you could include almost any show that isn't specifically about a main female character or a mixed ensemble cast! I'm going to go with Abby Sciuto, mainly because there's only one other female in the cast, and most of the focus is on Gibbs and his manpain, and if

I love Abby too, but I find it unrealistic that her style has not changed AT ALL in all these years. I wonder if the actress is like, pig tails again? you know I'm like, in my mid 40s now, right?

Yeah, it is unrealistic. And it's almost getting to the point where it's...well, weird. I mean, Abby is kinda weird, that's part of her appeal - but as I said, given Abby herself must be at the very least in her mid-thirties by now, the whole cutesy Little Girl Goth thing is a bit odd. And she has had absolutely no character growth at all - whereas almost all the other characters have had arcs and growth and development Abby is pretty much the same Abby as in S1, and that's a shame.

But why? Have they not even given her any back story? I missed some seasons in the middle.

I stopped watching a season or two ago so I don't know what they've done recently. I think they have explored her back story a bit, but even there she's the same person, the same style, the same behaviour. I know people don't always change that much, but it's just unrealistic for Abby to have had so little growth or maturation.

I ♥ Abbey and Gibbs! I shipped them a long, long time ago but now it's just so obviously father/daughter.

Yeah, I used to ship them majorly too, when I still watched NCIS regularly - but then I've always had a kink for those May/December relationships. Like Buffy/Giles back in the day!
