♥ Day Five: Favorite female character on a male-driven show
Hmm, this is tough, because you could include almost any show that isn't specifically about a main female character or a mixed ensemble cast! I'm going to go with Abby Sciuto, mainly because there's only one other female in the cast, and most of the focus is on Gibbs and his manpain, and if not Gibbs it's Tony, and if not Tony it's McGee, but the number of episodes that really focus on Abby are few and far between.
Abby, oh I love Abby. I must admit, I've pretty much given up on NCIS these days, I think it's long past its sell-by date. And Abby's Little Girl Goth routine has worn a little thin, especially given the age of the actress and the age of her character. But I still love Abby. She's got to be the most cheerful goth out there, and she's just so much fun to watch.
But mostly I love her relationship with Gibbs. I have a real soft spot for ships involving a gruff, stoic hard man just completely undone by a younger woman - and Abby really does have Gibbs wrapped around her little finger. Whether you see it as romantic or father/daughter it's a wonderful, heart-warming bond they have.
