Does anyone else find it a little jarring coming home from a holiday? It's almost as though home is not quite familiar anymore and it takes a little while to reconnect

Yes, I really hope it works out. I need to talk to my boss about whether I can have leave then, since it's still term-time, but I don't think it would be a problem. It's just so far away!
Sounds like you had a lovely holiday! I have never been to Florida, it's 2,539 miles away from my home in California. :-( But I will go one day and I will go to Harry Potter world and all the theme parks I can!!! :-)
Disneyland is way smaller and less impressive than DisneyWorld and we don't have a Harry Potter world. But the weather *is* fabulous and has way less humidity!

Yes, that's true, even if Disney isn't a draw to Florida, the Harry Potter park at Universal definitely would be! I'm sad the new expansion opened just after I left but it gives me an excuse to go back next year. Already planning it!
San Francisco is such a beautiful city, even as a 1o year-old I loved it! One of these days I will make it over there again.
