This may seem ridiculously early...

I was thinking this was ridiculously early, and then I thought, 'Damn, it's well into November!' And this last posting dates for some parts of the world is only a month away, and I like to get my cards out at the start of December. So not that early at all.

So, first off. Christmas cards! If you would like a Christmas card from me, leave me your details. I don't care if I've sent you a card every year since we've known each other, do not trust me to have kept your details somewhere I can find them. Comments are screened, so no-one will see your details but me. And I promise not to sell them to tele-marketeers, or turn up randomly on your doorstep. Unless you want me to.

And secondly, Christmas lists! I do this every year, it never hurts. Don't forget to link me to yours - you never know what the Christmas fairy might bring! I can't afford all of you, but I promise I do surf randomly and buy things for some of you!

Step One
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you’re comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 Holiday Wishes.

The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun to medium to really big to fandom things. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. If you wish for real possible things, just make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it’s your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
Surf around your friends list (or friends of friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. Here’s the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make someone’s wish come true. Once a wish has been granted, it will be crossed off the list. You needn’t spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn’t to put people out, it’s to provide everyone a chance to be someone else’s holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it’s your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you’ll have the joy of knowing you made someone’s holiday special.

1. My Amazon wishlist. Yes, it's quite long.

2. Amazon gift vouchers. Since helpfully, US Amazon allows you to gift Kindle ebooks, but UK Amazon doesn't.

3. Anything related to Chris/Vin from The Magnificent Seven. Icons, headers, wallpaper, fic, thoughts, you name it.

4. Fun earrings. I love earrings. Particularly in red, blue or purple.

5. Cheetos! Nom nom nom...

6. Snow. If those of you who have it could arrange to transport some to Derbyshire for Christmas, that would be great.

7. Recipes! Preferably low-fat, low-cal - I am on a diet, you know.

8. Donations to Book Aid International.

I'll probably bump this post every week or so up until December. Again, I tend to send my cards out the first week in December - you can never go wrong expecting international post to take forever!
