This could be true. The series has been going for what... 10 years now... and doing a chapter nearly every week... I'm sure he doesn't care. Still, it would be nice for the effort to really go into the story.
I want to try and make sense of it because he was a "kid" then. His infatuation turned into an obsession... and being cooped up in that mandara man-cave...idk. -_-;
He wants to bring her back by living in a dream world. I guess he is childish. I mean, in the anime series, I don't know what to make with his "silly" Tobi side compared to his serious "Obito" side. Was it like that in manga too?
Right. That's kind of how I see it, he was obsessed in a sense.
I think the two sides of Tobi are a perfect disguise. With all the "Tobi is a good boy!" And wiggly arms and carefree tone, it's perfect for no one to really suspect him as the person pulling the strings, or to be curious about his true identity. He provided others around him - especially within the Akatsuki organization - a false sense of security so he could gather what he wanted while the others put themselves out on the line. Kinda brilliant really.
Still doesn't change the fact that he acted like a little bitch. lol.
