After ALL this time I thought that perhaps it would've ben something a little more.... I don't know... meaningful. Sure Madara was manipulative, I'm not going to argue that, but... just... I can understand a lot of the villains. But this? It wasn't like Obito came from a lowly clan, or had it rough his entire life, or grew up alone and misguided, or had some tragic story about his parents or something.
It almost makes me sad... to think all this pain and sadness and grief for other characters stemmed from Obito's selfish act, his grandiose scale of a childish tantrum. I thought it was all WTF before about the truth behind Rin's death (which we still don't know all the details about, like why Kakashi had to do that to her in the first fucking place) but now I truly have my WTF eyes on.
