I read about this a few days ago on slog. The first thing I did was forward it to my sister and *headdesk* about it. WTF?!?! is right. As an upstate/western NYer, this is one of those times when I wish I were part of feel more like I am part of Canada than part of the US. Sigh...

I see these stories and give thanks I'm not American. Then I read ragey comments like yours and remember that most Americans aren't idiot douches and that most people are also completely pissed off at such stupidity.

I cant' even think of what to say the whole thing enrages me so much. I mean...WHAT? WHAT?????? LADIES - GET THE HELL OUT OF UTAH, NOW!!! Can we send in a squad? We should start making squads so that when states do crazy shit like this we can get the women out! It's clearly not safe for anyone with ovaries to be there.

duhh, women are too stupid to know how to keep their babies safe in their state-owned wombs, therefor we have to tell them how exactly to take care of it, and if they don't and have a miscarriage, we can put their asses in jail.
excuse me, I have to vomit. you did hear about the idaho case where a woman came into the ER because she fell and wanted to make sure the baby was okay, but mentioned to the nurse she wasn't sure about keeping the baby to turn and was arrested for attempted feticide?
