A Night Chock Full Of "WHHHHY??"
So, let me tell you guys all a little story about a tv movie/miniseries called The Tenth Kingdom.
I...have no idea where I was when this one first came out. Apparantly everyone in my age group niche has seen this, or repeated interactions have led me to believe, but, hand to God, I'd never even heard of it until maybe two years ago. In fact, I was prone to getting it confused with Labryinth (which I also haven't seen).
Not too long ago, I seem to distinctly recall my friend eliara trying to get me to watch it, but I was severely off put by the length.
I mean, ten hours? I love fantasy stories, but seriously. What the heck could be worth all that?
Well, tonight, I went over to skylark913 and sinceralaine's place for a movie night.
And we wound up watching the first two/three hours or so of The Tenth Kingdom.
...WHERE THE HELL HAS THIS MOVIE BEEN ALL MY LIFE?? OH MY GOD.
But of course, being the idiot that I am, I had to make myself leave early, because I have to get up early for the Fight Workshop tomorrow. You know, thinking that I'd actually try to get some sleep.
Yeah right. Three hours later, and I'm still awake. Itching for more Tenth Kingdom. Thinking crazy fantasy-based thoughts. Dammit.
And because my brain operates solely on crack, I now find myself coming up with a fanfic idea where, of ALL things, characters from Battlestar Galactica get tossed into a fantasy realm inside a fairy tale book and have to try to deal with that.
Someone, anyone, please kill me.
