I grew up on the border of Ohio and Michigan (literally--my backyard fence was the dividing line between the states) and every year the day before the big game, all of the daddies would dress us up in either scarlet and grey (me) or blue and yellow (the enemy). Now, I don't particularly care for football, but I knew from a young age that the scarlet and grey people were the only good ones! *grin*

And my hematocrit is always borderline, so it's a crapshoot as to whether I can donate blood. For me it's the week after, not the week before that poses the greatest likelihood of rejection.

Good luck surviving the weekend with your eardrums intact!

So, you're a Toledo-er then? At least, that's where I hear the borderline is...

It's kind of amusing in a way, because I come from a huuuuge OSU fan-type family. But me? I couldn't tell you the name of a single player on the team right now.

I didn't realize you had responded, but I figured as I was in your lj anyway, I'd check. I grew up in Sylvania, a suburb of Toledo (and went to Maumee Valley Country Day School), so good guess! I liked the area well enough. Although it was flatter than flat. And snowy. Of course, I'm in snowy now, so... *grin* My sister and I never really got into the game, as we were a little young to really appreciate football (of course, I still don't really appreciate it, but...); however, my mother still watched the game on television this year and it has been more than 20 years since we lived in Ohio, so I can see how it sucks people in!
