Very cool. I've just read through all of the Shades of Grey stuff that you've written so far, and I think it's a great sequel to Nightfall. I've been really enjoying the interaction of the characters, and am especially interested to see what you end up doing with Tony and Kate, as well as Cassidy and Gibbs. I do think it's interesting how Tony seems to have rebuilt his relationship with Gibbs, and I'm also interested to see where this case goes.
As you probably figured out from my last comment, I'm finally getting around to reading some of my backlog of fic. Yay! As I'm reading this, it's reminding me how much fun fanfic can be. Anyway, on to the pseudo-review...
Extra confidence, my dear Antony, is surely the one thing you do not need Isn't that the truth! *grin*
I would hate the sensation of not being in control of my movements. Yet another reason why I would never want to be a vampire.
“Oh, he can try to kill me, Antony,” Cassidy concluded. She closed her eyes again and gave a smile that couldn’t be described as anything other than sinister. “He can most certainly try.” Yay, Cassidy/Gibbs confrontation seems imminent! (Not that I want any harm to come to either, even Cassidy, but a few fireworks wouldn't be amiss.)
Those actually present, however, knew Gibbs well enough that could practically hear him willing the vampire to spontaneously combust in a fiery ball of pain as he kept his eyes on her intently. And it was a fairly safe bet that, behind her faint,

Glad to have you back! Also glad you enjoyed, as usual.
I'm trying to get to a good stopping point on a different fic right now, but returning to this story is second on my To Do list. Hopefully now that Faire's over, I can actually get back to writing again...
It is a little odd writing for Kate after not having her around for so long, but luckily I have the first two seasons to rewatch whenever I care to :P
Hmmh. I think I need to join the begging group too. I read Nightfall few days ago in FF.net and before that , about a year ago Metamorphosis. I must say I'm very, very fond of your work. I was emotionally choked up after reading Nightfall, it was harsh, yet beautiful story and Tony's pain was perfect, if I can use that word to describe it. Tony's and Kate's slowly building relationship is manna for my mind, although I'm more of a Gibbs/DiNozzo -pervert myself
( ... )
I'm really enjoying this sequel. It's great to see the team back together, yet with the added angst and awkwardness and how they start to get past some of that with work to bond them all again.
What will come of this possible zombie case and the whole Tony/Kate angle? Will Gibbs and Cassidy manage not to kill each other? Will McGee ever get over it already? Will Kate learn to think before she speaks? After all that effort she put into reasurring Tony on the ghost case, she was pretty quick to undo it with one or two thoughtless remarks :(!
So yes, here's hoping the muse bites soon (no pun intended).
