As you probably figured out from my last comment, I'm finally getting around to reading some of my backlog of fic. Yay! As I'm reading this, it's reminding me how much fun fanfic can be. Anyway, on to the pseudo-review...
Extra confidence, my dear Antony, is surely the one thing you do not need Isn't that the truth! *grin*
I would hate the sensation of not being in control of my movements. Yet another reason why I would never want to be a vampire.
“Oh, he can try to kill me, Antony,” Cassidy concluded. She closed her eyes again and gave a smile that couldn’t be described as anything other than sinister. “He can most certainly try.” Yay, Cassidy/Gibbs confrontation seems imminent! (Not that I want any harm to come to either, even Cassidy, but a few fireworks wouldn't be amiss.)
Those actually present, however, knew Gibbs well enough that could practically hear him willing the vampire to spontaneously combust in a fiery ball of pain as he kept his eyes on her intently. And it was a fairly safe bet that, behind her faint, careless smile, Cassidy was doing exactly the same to him. Okay, I said fireworks, but balls of fire is fairly close! *grin*
Another interesting chapter. I like the dynamics of the whole team plus Cassidy. (Although it is odd to have Kate as a member of the team again, after having a season of Ziva.)
Of course, the downfall of waiting so long and then reading a bunch at once is that now I want to keep going and there is nothing more! Oh well. I've remembered why I like this, so if you produce more, I'll read it. (Of course, I'm not expecting more for awhile. Good luck with the Faire!)
Glad to have you back! Also glad you enjoyed, as usual.
I'm trying to get to a good stopping point on a different fic right now, but returning to this story is second on my To Do list. Hopefully now that Faire's over, I can actually get back to writing again...
It is a little odd writing for Kate after not having her around for so long, but luckily I have the first two seasons to rewatch whenever I care to :P
