Happy Halloween Samhain, ya'll!
Not much planned for this evening, really. I'll be meeting up with Charlie at six and then we're gonna go eat Japanese and then head back to his place to watch Interview With A Vampire. I think that's pretty much gonna be it

And no, I've never read Tanya Huff. Any good?

I'm actually not a big Anne Rice fan...I love the movie, but that's about it. I started reading Lestat's book once, but didn't get very far. So maybe it's good that she's not like Anne Rice. I'll keep an eye out for that.
Okay, I definitely love this, and even though Kate has never been my favorite character and I'm glad she's gone rather than any of the others, I'm starting to like her here.
Between you and me, you're probably going to have to at least tolerate her for this story, because considering where it's going...*glances at icon and coughs* ^^;;
I hope you share that pictoral evidence, btw!
I have sent commands to the art slave ^_^
I just love your series
D'awww, thanks. More soon, hopefully.

How interesting. Kate's worry about whether she should be more concerned about things being too awkward/different or things being too normal could also be said about this season of NCIS. (Well, Kate couldn't say it, but you know what I mean...) I want things to be the same, but not, just like what she is thinking. Nice parallel (whether it was intentional or not).
When I read what music they decided on, I thought, "Light Jazz?!?!" Then I read this... both of them willing to be unhappy for the sake of making sure that the other person was also unhappy... OMG! So perfect ( ... )

....uh, yeah, I totally planned that!! Only...not.
I demand pictoral evidence! *grin*
Yeah, I'll get my art slave right on that. *cracks whip in machi_neko's direction*
He's already been a target? Who would want to go after him?
This is probably going to be explained in more detail later, but for now, recall that he's still hanging around Cassidy, a 2000 year old and well-known vampire who is sure to draw a lot of fire. Guilt by association.
I'm warning you now, if she wakes up to ghosts at the foot of her bed (or even worse, at the head *shudder*), staring down at her, I'm going to blame you for increasing my insomnia, because I'm sure that image will help keep me up at night!
Oh come on, who could be that evil...oh. Wait.
Heh. All joking aside, I can assure you that that was never my intention. Poor Kate's got enough problems right now.
I loved, loved, loved the Tony/Kate interaction. Especially their wishes. Yes, the end part was emotional, but it ( ... )

Ahh... I was actually sort of wondering if it were a bit like Highlander: The Series in which some people purposely went out hunting for the newbies because they were easier to kill.
As far as the ghosts go, it seems I don't need your help in scaring myself. What started out as an innocent mythology episode (read: not scary) of the X-Files turned into one where an ordinary looking guy sucked out people's brains! Um... yeah... that didn't help the sleep situation. *grin* (At least it wasn't as bad as Tooms, the stretchy guy. The idea of him still creeps me out, even years after I've seen the episode.)
Glad you enjoyed it, and that you didn't think it was too over the top. Don't know how soon I'll have the nect chapter up, but I'll try to work on it when I can.I can't speak for other people, but it worked for me ( ... )

OK, I think I'm actually just going to spell this out because I don't know if I'll get a chance to really go into it in the series or not...
Cassidy, as I'm sure you recall, is 2000+ years old. She has, however, only six fledglings (counting "Antony"). By vampire standards, that's downright bizarre; she could have turned a regular army of vampires by now. Also, unlike most vampires, she doesn't choose her fledglings because she was attracted to them, in love with them, because there was something about them she particularly admired, or whatever. She turned them all because she saw...or rather felt...a certain something about them that made her think they would make a good vampire. Only one out of her five older fledglings has died, and all of them are powerful vampires for their respective ages. There, Tony has a lot of promise...all signs indicate that, once ( ... )
