What is this place? It certainly isn’t home and it’s not familiar to me in any way, shape, or form. I didn’t think I’d get drafted into a… war… either, I’m not the type to fight. I have never been a fighter; I guess you could call me a lover instead. Or a chef, I’m that as well, but certainly not a fighter ( Read more... )

Several people here aren't fighters. Myself, I can only run.

And yep. You have no choice.

But on the bright side, the main return time in your own world is the same time you were taken.

Really? I would've thought a war would require fighters...

Ah! That's good! Eiji is a little... well, he's gaining confidence...

The consulo is random and if you fit a requirement, it seems to pull you. I'm a business tycoon. At least you can feed the soldiers. I can't exactly blackmail lightning balls of death.

Lightning balls of death... oh good.

A business tycoon? Sounds somewhat like Tachibana-san.

I, too, consider myself more of a lover than a fighter. This place has a strange idea of what constitutes a soldier, for I am but an author.

An author? I'm slowly beginning to see that this isn't so much of a military facility but instead a prison. A pity, you can't make an army from civilians with no training.

It's lacking the comforts of home, I'll admit, but it's not so bad. Although I could see it that way because I've pretty much come from one prison into another.

Ah? It's quite different than what I'm used to and I see no way of which my art would be viable...

They say an army moves on its stomach. Doesn't that make a pâtissier a great choice? People love cake.

Of course, being brought here has to do with energy signatures, not employment choices.

I suppose it would. Though I'd think an army running on cakes along would not make a great choice.

...Ah, "energy signatures"?

Ah, but we've got the basics handled.

All people give off energy. The machine takes those with high energy and brings them here.
