Y'know, I miss really good fic. Don't get me wrong - I'm in a lot of fantastic fandoms right now and they're all doing good things, but I miss the epics in the Stargate vein - the big hurt/comfort fandoms that really knew how to stick a knife through your heart and then kiss it all better.

I miss EPIC!
Back in the Good Old Days we had a lot of awesome, huge, h/c fics of epicness in different fandoms... these days I'm happy if my fandom has just one :/

I know! Shows like Stargate, Smallville, The Sentinel - the big hurt/comfort fandoms, where every episode was h/c and people spent half the year writing these 50-100,000 word pieces that just destroyed you.

Damn, I may now have to find them all. Or dig through some old fandoms...dS must have some...

Bruce is a complete and utter bastard in the story, but I see his point. Because of the timeline, I assume these are his 'My parents are dead' days, sans Robin. I'd be a bit suspicious of Lex too, tbh, if you didn't have all the inside info.

I had completely forgotten how much I loved this story! *sigh*
