Haha, I'm glad the headcanon does actually make sense. They were seemed to be trying hard to turn Syrena/Phillip into an epic romance to replace Will/Elizabeth, but Liz and Will had time to grow into their epicness over the course of the first three movies. Cramming a Destined Connection into one movie made things read oddly a lot of the time. And then you end up with the audience having to go 'VAMPIRE PRIEST LOEV MERMAID??' to make sense out of things. (or at least when the audience is me.)
Oh gosh that movie was absolutely amazing! My sister and I saw it the day it came out, and I recently watched it again with two of my friends. Oh so great. I just love how Jack and Gibbs walked off with a fleet of ships, and the whole process Jack came up with about getting the Pearl out of the bottle...♥ I love how Jack was still Jack. And that scene with the leg-flask and tree-climbing...best part. XD I was quite pleased with the movie.
I watched the movie and I was all about the MERMAIDS. I WANTED TO BE A MERMAID. The pretty was all very well and good, but what I really wanted was to be able to go all razor-teethed and aquatic and be able to punch through wooden planks and sink ships with my swarming sisters and be adaptable to land/water. :D

The funny thing is that there have been a recent spate of corpses turning up in the waterways of my country and my friend who knows of my mermaid desires has been PLEASE FINISH YOUR FOOD, STOP BEING SUCH A FUSSY EATER. ...Except now it sounds a lot more creepy. And REALISTIC?
Mermaid/missionary were definitely sweet, it's just that it was also a bit bizarre because of how fast it happened). But it was gibberingly hot so, er, I forgive it! Eating him would be a tough, mermaidy kind of romantic, I think. Picture it: She looks into his eyes and knows she can't save him, he looks back and tries to show he understands ... she OM NOM NOMS with great mercy and tenderness.
Your friend should do the doujinshi right now! Or an original manga! At least a few comic pages for bb_shousetsu? Shounen
