I don't really care about HTTYD (i like the movie though), but i would love to ride the dragons. *____* I enjoyed the Neverland world because i can fly, and to be able to fly is good.
This is basically how I feel. Good movie, had fun with it, but mostly, DRAGONRIDING DO WANT. (Although I really wouldn't mind a sequel.) I keep imagining a "Learn to ride the dragon" minigame, and the secret to winning Toothless over is for Sora to rub on the dragon catnip. Ferocious dragon cuddles ensue.
You are reading Homestuck?! I am a little surprised, but not very, knowing how many other webcomics you read. Are you now hunting down the fic and art?
I confess that I did not get into homestuck because (a) it seemed like a great majority of HINABN fans ran there after the comic stopped updating/started slowing down; and most of them were... shall we say, they shipped ConWorth & Zombie/Hanna where I shipped Veser/Lee; and (b)I was not sure I would get past the art. But if you can, perhaps I can also.
Now Sora will also never get to run around on Great A'Tuin! T____T I was so much happier before you put that image in my head WHEN telling me I would not get to see this!
I started poking at Homestuck last year to see what the internet was going on about, but it's only in the last couple of weeks that I've simultaneously had interest + time to get into it. Can't look for fic and art yet, though, as I'm nowhere near caught up.

As for the art, ever since making my way through Ookiku Furikabutte ("aargh, argh, how can you have a sports manga where everyone is built like sacks of sugar"), I think something inside me broke re:artistic appreciation. Hideousness no longer represents a challenge.

Omg Homestuck. I'm about 1600 pages in myself and Dave is absolutely my favorite too, weirdly enough. Though Jade is a close second. And I totally know what you mean about it really being whichever character is onscreen at any given time. Man, this cast.
Jade! ♥ She won me over when she squealed like a pig and fertilised the plants. Yeah ... this cast (this comic). And John is hjjkfghkh adorable and Rose is actually the coolest, sorry Dave.
