Characters: Everyone! Location: The Village Square Time: 27th December, all day. Brief Summary: A large post full of winter shenanigans for everyone to tag if they wish! Plus, A PRESENT FOR EVERYONE. Rating: U. Will edit if need be.
THE GIFT TABLEdat_guardianDecember 27 2010, 21:48:39 UTC
[This is a long table on the southern end of the village square, and it is laden with presents. Under the eaves of the Town Hall, it avoids most of the falling snow.]
[Karkat is standing in his usual attire, just glaring at the gift table. Specifically, he's glaring at the present that has his name on it. Just scowling at it furiously.
Does he throw a snowball at Nanako, and risk being evil and cruel to a cute little girl... or does he just keel over and lose his (self-nominated) place as snowball champion of the world?
He hesitates for a moment before making his own snowball and throwing it at a few feet to Nanako's left.]
You wanna play, Nanako-chan? Don't think I'm gonna go easy!
THE FOOD TABLESdat_guardianDecember 27 2010, 21:52:20 UTC
[Put together later in the day by Souji and some of Demeleier's other talented cooks, the delicious smells of these dishes waft invitingly through the cold air. You can sit inside the inn for relative warmth, or eat hurriedly outside and risk dodging a snowball.]
[Lloyd is sitting inside the inn, drinking a cup of warm, spiced cider.. He seems somewhat oblivious to the night's festivities, and is instead perusing the stocks of wood and metal.
A windmill or a waterwheel. It all depends on which would be easier to make. Maintenance could come later; they certainly could protect both, after all. One was just more risky than the other.
He gives a sigh and takes off his glasses to polish them.]
[ Zelda is looking to escape the flying snow outside. As she prepares a cup of tea for herself, she notices Lloyd studying the stockpiles. The stocks are looking particularly familiar to Zelda, who has been in and out of the Inn taking a thorough inventory on the state of the village. ]
[ She comes quietly to stand by him, pushing back the hood of her cloak. ]
ICE SKATINGdat_guardianDecember 27 2010, 21:56:48 UTC
[The Wandering shop has popped up on the side of the Loch. A sign at the village square will point the way. Get closer, and you'll see that the merchant is offering a loan of ice skates. Don't go too far out on the ice, though, as it gets much thinner the farther out it goes...]
[And slowly, this is where Duibhin wanders, eying the ice skates curiously, gloves hands tucked into the sleeves of his robe. It's...strange, these shoes, and the idea of using them as anything other than weapons baffles him more than a little. But he edges towards the ice, staring out thoughtfully.]
WANDERING SHOPdat_guardianDecember 27 2010, 21:58:33 UTC
[The Merchant may be outside peddling the Ice Skates, but the Fortune Teller will be inside. She'll give anyone who comes to see her one free fortune.]
[The shop is dark, with thick curtains drawn over the windows and a heady scent of incense in the air. The Fortune Teller sits slumped forwards, forearms resting on the table, and turns her veiled and hooded head towards Trash.]

Maybe it'd be a human Christmas fucking miracle if it did.

... You can't expect a little kid to have perfect aim, okay. She's just trying to imitate her big bro. 8( ]

There is always much to do.

Mm... and while you'd think we have all the time in the world for it...
[He takes a sip of the cider, and then finally looks up at Zelda. He gives her a wry sort of smile.]
Well. I'm sure we both know how that goes.
