THE SNOWBALL FIGHT

[The middle of the village square is a warzone.

[He is alone in the middle of the square.

He is the champion.

It's him.]

[ Oh yeah? Well, a small snowball swooshes right past Yosuke, softly landing in the snow next to him.

... You can't expect a little kid to have perfect aim, okay. She's just trying to imitate her big bro. 8( ]

[This leaves him with a dilemma, you see.

Does he throw a snowball at Nanako, and risk being evil and cruel to a cute little girl... or does he just keel over and lose his (self-nominated) place as snowball champion of the world?

He hesitates for a moment before making his own snowball and throwing it at a few feet to Nanako's left.]

You wanna play, Nanako-chan? Don't think I'm gonna go easy!

I saw big bro doing this earlier too, so.. I want to play as well!

[ She crouches down just a little to grab some snow to form a snowball with-- but it's going so slow it's almost painful to see. ]

[Yosuke just laughs. He makes his own snowball quickly, but tosses it from hand to hand as he waits for Nanako to finish hers.]

[ Nanako happily giggles in return and throws the snowball when she finally finishes it, aiming somewhere vaguely in the direction of Yosuke's chest. Although as I said, her aim isn't the best and it manages to land right in the middle of Yosuke's face. (Granted, not quite as hard as a normal snowball would.) ]

[Yosuke deliberately tosses his at the ground near Nanako's feet... just as hers hits him in the face.]

Oof!

[ Nanako's initial response is shock at the hit, she doesn't even really notice the snowball that lands just a little bit in front of her feet. And then she immediately starts looking worried. ]

I-I'm sorry! Are you alright..? [ Guess who's not snowball fight material. ]

[He brushes the snow off of his face and grins.]

You're a pretty good shot, Nanako-chan.

[junesoholic]

R-really?

[ She looks really surprised at that, but after a slight moment she attempts to make a determined face, even if it doesn't completely succeed. ] I won't lose!

[There's a little chuckle from closeby, something Souji manages to half muffle behind his hand.

The little smile on his face is amused, but warm, fond.

He gives Nanako a not-totally-discreet thumbs up, winking.]

Maybe you won't, Nanako-chan...

[He leans down, scoops up snow, and pats it into shape. And grins.]

But your big bro sure as hell will!

[He launches the snowball at Souji.]

THREE-WAY SNOWBALL FIGHT AW YEAH. 8)

[ Nanako's big bro radar is ON and she smiles back widely at Souji, with a small nod at the thumbs up.

She sort of looks like she's reading to run away try to dodge the snowball when Yosuke makes it, but when she notices that he instead throws it to Souji she gasps. ]

Big bro--!

YOSUKE MUST BE DEPOSED.

[DON'T WORRY LIL SIS, Souji is on the case of dodging that thing. It pafs against his elbow - MERELY A SCRATCH - as he reveals that he has come prepared, and said preparation is now being thrown in Yosuke's direction. Near enough.]

No need to be so jumpy, man.

MUTINY! REGICIDE!

[Yosuke laughs and leaps to the side, scooping up the snow and packing another snowball. A few of Souji's hit him, but he throws his own, jumps back, and darts away, scooping up more snow as he goes.]
