I'm really not bringing up old arguments, cos who needs that shit.  But still.  Just gonna point out that it's St George's day today and LJ has absolutely nothing to recognise this holiday, despite the fact that it has a large amount of English users.  Not to mention the fact that Irish and Mexican holidays were celebrated here.

See I get where you're coming from and yes I agree that there should be some sort of across the board sort of thing going on. But at the same time St. George's day doesn't get the same attention that St. Paddy's or St. Andrew's gets even in England. From my experience most people don't even know when it is or care much if you tell them.

Oh I know. That's what made me so cross when I did my St Patty's day post - because everyone here basically uses it as an excuse to drink and ignores our own Saint's Day.
