Today marks both the second anniversary of my starting this LiveJournal, and the 19th anniversary of my starting my first job in publishing at E.P. Dutton.

Some background which I don't believe I've refreshed on this LJ since I first posted my credentials two years ago.

I'm glad to be able to mention it. I've been very pleased with the feedback from the class, and having been able to recommend a couple of my students for internships already. I've always believed in mentoring through my job, and have helped nearly all of my former assistants to land managerial or directorial positions. Being able to help bright people at entry level is very satisfying.
