I know it's stereotypical that females love the shiny. Which is why I am sooo very amused to find myself casing eBay for sparkly rocks. Mainly natural spinels. (I'm not averse to synthetic stones as long as they're properly labelled. Most of them are far too garish for my tastes however.) And diopsides. And pyropes. And, and, and
