I opened my inbox this morning and saw an email with this subject line:
A Gift Has Been Purchased from Your Amazon Baby Registry

"That's strange," I thought, "I don't have a baby!"

(In a booming voice):

"Meeeerrrry Christmasssss!"

Costume idea for lazy people: Go dressed exactly how you normally dress. When people ask who you are, say "I'm that guy from Quantum Leap, see, and I've leaped into this body." Insist that you are, in fact, Quantum Leap Man, but demand a mirror to see what your new body looks like.

So this summer I got a library fine, my first since elementary school. The fine, for the whopping sum of $2.20, was due to my neglecting to renew two books for 11 days past the due date. Yesterday I saw Stanley Tucci filming a movie. Hoards of people swarmed around him asking if he would take pictures with them. Is Stanley Tucci really such a big deal?

P.S. He looked really short.

I've only read 4 pages today. That's 4 pages in English, not some foreign language.

Sigh.

I am happy to report that the career survey says I would be a good professor or historian. It's also interesting to note that my former career goal, judge, is down at 21. Does that mean it's better that I'm going to be a professor, or that I would have answered the survey differently if I still wanted to be a judge? (oh, and P.S. I don't know why ( Read more... )

I had another dream about teaching last night. I was the TA for a German history class (which I know nothing about), and my section was full of freshman who had no idea what they were doing.
