Summary: They find a way to be together every time he visits, but one is realizing that they want so much more...
They moved together, bodies sliding against one another in the timeless dance of lovers. She murmured his name into the stillness of the room; her nails stroked down his back.
And when they lay, cuddled against one another, sated and sleepy, she pressed a kiss against his chest.
“It’s been too long. I missed you,” she whispered. “You should visit more often.”
“Keep this up and I might just have to,” he replied with a satisfied smirk.
She chuckled, and a comfortable silence settled between them. Though she felt relaxed and would have loved nothing more than to stay cuddled against him all day, she knew she couldn’t.
“I’m sorry I can’t stay longer, Charlie. Ron’s expecting me back soon,” she said regretfully. She kissed him once more before she slid out of bed and dressed.
“Will you be able to get away again before I leave?” Charlie asked.
“I don’t know. I hope so, but don’t count on it.”
There were many things he wanted to say, that he’d wanted to say for a long time. He stayed silent again, watching her leave.
“I love you, Hermione,” he spoke to an empty room. “And I’m an idiot for that.”
