Stefan Legein quits hockey

Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Stefan Legein has reportedly decided to hang up the skates at the age of 19.

Columbus GM Scott Howson confirmed the report while his parents denied it. No reason for the "retirement" was given. Legein's agent gave the news to the team.

I don't know why. I can't figure out why. A couple weeks ago he was at Blue Jackets rookie camp talking about making the team and going into September with that mindset and willing to play in Syracuse as a stepping stone in his career and I can't figure out why. Something is wrong and he's not saying.
