After his talk with his brother, Thanatos and after regaining what was his from his sister, Styx , Phlegethon decided to take Death's advice and seek out Desire. Seek out Himeros. Not that he was even sure of where he would find him. Heading back to the mortal plane he headed back towards the lake. The one that he, himself, had encased with fire ( Read more... )

Himeros smiled happily from where he was sitting contentedly with Mummy and Pothos, head pillowed on Mummy's lap as Pothos fed him strawberries. He froe suddenly, ignoring the strawberry Pothos waved in his face.

Phlegethon was calling him.

He stood elegantly, kissing Mummy distractredly on the cheek. "I have to go. I promise to stop by again, Mummy. Maybe with more of my siblings or your erotes in tow."

She waved him away, sipping her wine as Pothos likewsise stood with a discontented, almost unhappy, look. "Himeros..."

Desire shook his head, kissing his counterpart softly. Nothing changes. I shall always find you.

With that, he disappeared from their view, materializing at the entrance of a cave, the sound of the falls around him.

"Phlegethon?" his voice rang out. "You called me?"

The cave itself was filled with warmth and the Underworlder looked up from where he'd been sitting giving a slight smile when he heard Himeros' voice. Ah, to hear that voice again. But then his brother's words were ringing through his ears again. Telling him to make sure Himeros felt the same way he did.

"I did." He states, those firey dark eyes looking towards the other man. "We need to talk. So, please, have a seat."

Himeros frowned, gaze locked on Phlegethon's strong form until the Underworlder's words registered.

Need to talk? Why does that sound foreboding?

He nodded hesitantly, elegantly seating himself beside the River of Fire, the warmth relaxng him somewhat.

"What did you wish to speak of?"

Phlegethon wasn't even sure how this would work out or how to even express this. Not really anyways. Because love... yeah, new for him. Because, hey, he was who he was. A man that didn't care about much. Well, save for the things he knew that he cared for.

"About us."

Feeling that this could turn into a rather ugly argument - which Himeros disliked greatly - the erote shrugged noncomitally. "I see."

That was a safe answer.

"No, you don't." At least he wasn't going around kissing anyone that he knew or his sisters and such.

Perhaps you don't feel the same at all

Himeros sighed, fingers playing with the River of Fire's dark hair. He chose to keep quiet. He would avoid a confrontration if it were the last thing he did.

"You don't really give a damn do you?" It had to be asked. Just had to be because there was no way he was sharing Himeros. With anyone no matter who the hell they were.
