She was mid-laugh when she felt it. Though currently in her Olympian form, the goings-on in her home were never far from her consciousness ( Read more... )

Hekate heard the Hate Goddess' warning and made a face. More damn drama. Just what she needed, just what everyone needed. Running around like a headless chicken for whatever in damn Hades' name was happening now. She had to wonder what kind of warning Styx's was supposed to be. Evacuate or else? Well, it just wasn't good enough for the sorceress. Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of pre-warning? If she'd known, she could've set a video taping, or got one of those recordable television box...things. Damn drama ( ... )

She had no idea what Hades was doing, but she'd heard the warning, hell, she'd felt the warning. Hades was cooking something up with the Styx. Even from her room she was aware of that, but she had decided against going down to investigate, it would only bother Hades.

Still, it would have been nice to be warned in person, instead of hearing Hate's echo rattling through the Underworld.

With a sigh, she packed up some reading material into a satchel and went to find her mother. Persephone, she found out, was in a field with the Goddess Hekate and was looking a bit...off colour. She frowned and put her satchel down, touching her mother's arm.

"Hades is doing something weird...are you alright? Mom?"

Persephone was taking deep, meditative breaths. It was not the time for darkness, but the darkness was powerful, and overwhelming, and on the surface, and pounding against the barriers on Olympus. The tips of her hair were darkening, her eyes were darkening, and a cold wind was starting to blow.

"I'm sorry, Hekate. I really am." Her words were slow, as though it was taking a great deal of concentration to get them out. Before she could continue, Melinoe arrived, and Persephone smiled, glad that her daughter had found her, glad to see her.

"Meil. I'm... ok. The energies... they're sort of messing with my internal clock, I guess you could say. Wrong time of year."

Kore-Stygia pulled her daughter into a hug, resting her chin on Meilinoe's shoulder for just a moment before pulling away and addressing both women.

"Hades is... attempting to extend the berth of his rule. He's calling all Underworlders to his cause."

Hekate hmphed, letting Persephone do all of her huggy mother-daughter crap with the kid. It was only expected, especially now that Hades was trying some wicci-weird mojo downstairs and cleaning out the Underworld at the same time. He'd better not taken too long with this crap. Missing MacGyver was one thing, but if she missed the A Team, someone was going to pay ( ... )
