Rinna was also wandering, head down, mind in her own thoughts.
Damn that Strife! He hadn't told her that Harmonia was Anteros' sister! True, Ruina should've remembered that, but she had such a hard time remembering all the convoluted Greek family trees. She liked her Egyptian side of the family a lot more.
Except for her mother and her aunts. They were really great.
So when she ran into Dike -- literally -- at the edges of the Egyptian Quarter, she scowled and looked up. The gaze she met was dark and disturbing.
Half kicked and tumbled from her perch, Justitia hadn't thought of anything other than keeping her balance.
Then came the wondering of who exactly stood before her. The girl felt familiar but not. Very much not.
She tilted her head and didn't extend a hand. "Justice..." She paused unsure of why she'd picked that instead of something more formal, like a Roman or Greek name.
Dike blinked, lids closing over darkness and maybe starlight. The black seemed to swallow all. She shook her head. "Yes, I am Greek. A daughter of Zeus."
A daughter of Zeus like a blade of grass, one of many and it said as much in her tone.
"I... don't know your father and no, I am not waiting on anyone. I am sitting. I have no place to be but here."
She smiled sheepishly. Sometimes she really just blurted out too much.
"Yes...Yes... He's really great, you know? All mischevious and such. Such a trouble-starter! He and I, we could make one great tragedy together."
She sighed wistfully, but then her thoughts turned sour again.
"But that Harmonia still has her claws in him! I guess it would have had to be strong for him to help her go and do that thing with..." She drifted off, winced... "Well, you know... With your dad and stuff... And even after that, Ares still wouldn't let them be together. Which, actually, that's good for me! But.. It's hard, too. I don't know if ..."
She had been wondering at the lack of Zeus' presence. Not because she wanted to be made to sit at his left hand while her mother sat on his right.
But because he wasn't the type to have left her presence go unremarked on. He'd treated her decently for the most part, which she'd had pointed out to her numerous times was rare among his relationships with his children.
They stopped at Seth's steps and Ruina turned around, shifting uncomfortably.
"Well, yes, you know... The whole...Snake thing?"
She held up her hand, making a parody of a snake, and then hissed a little. But then she noticed Justice's expression, and Ruina felt very cold inside.

She loved it!
"Hey, hey! Who're you?" she asked, interested.

She thought she was Greek.
"I'm Ruina, Goddess of Destruction and other tasty things, like Destruction! Oh, and Burritos."
Goddess of Burritos. Her Daddy would love that! And pie!
"And Pie! But only the Pie that Daddy makes. Have you ever had Daddy's pie? It's the best ever!"
Without waiting for an answer for any of this, she eyed the strange goddess.
"What're you doing out here all alone? Are you waiting on someone?"
And this time, she did wait for an answer.

"You're in love with Strife ?"
The girl in front of her glowed in her mind's eye for a moment. But she couldn't quite make out why.

She was going on and on and on.
She sighed.
"I don't know if he'll want me, though."
