I'm confused. It said in the bit that i read *someone else's lj* that they *were not* getting rid of the vid feature, just doing some kind of streamlining thing?
So....are they getting rid of it or streamlining it? It makes no sense.
If they really, truly are just going to hit 'del' on ever vid, then fuck them and the horse they rode in on, 'cause that is lame as hell.

It's my understanding that it's the former. That they're going to hit delete on all user-generated vid content. Not much we can do about it... vidders aren't exactly a huge and well-paying demographic. *wry grin*

I have two things in mind for my first vids. One is all plotted out, clips planned out, video almost all converted. I just need to figure out how to use my editing software, which I'm gonna start this weekend. The second is just a concept in my head of "wouldn't this make a great S4 Sam vid," but I really want to do it.
My goal is to have both of them done before the show premieres in the fall but I am the master procrastinator, so we'll see. *^_^*
You know, I've been meaning to suggest this to you for months: I want a Dean or Alec vid set to 'Kick My Ass' by Big & Rich. I think you'd be the perfect vidder for that job.
Ha! That would be awesome! For me, it would by necessity be a Dean vid, because I've never actually seen an episode of Dark Angel. (editors note: I think I actually did watch a few episodes back in 2006 in my early days of Jensenlove. But apparently I didn't exactly fall in love with the show, if I can't even remember having seen them! *laughs*)
Anyway, I can't find a copy of 'Kick My Ass' anywhere (although copies of 'Save a Horse' are thick on the ground), can you upload it for me?
(I also think it would make a funny Ruby vid. *g*)
I think Dean would be more appropriate too. Or hey, you could make it a Dean AND Ruby vid, and cleverly draw attention to how similar their characters are in terms of their relationships with Sam (leaving out of course Ruby's long con shenanigans).
Aaaaaaaaanyway, here's the song! I never liked the little nonsense-y bit on the end that B&R seem to love doing, so that could be trimmed from the vid. You know, if you were going to do the vid. *coff*
