Awkward Date is AWKWARD Comment-Fic Meme
In honor of an absolutely legendary awkward non-date last month of someone on my flist-- *koff*mistyzeo*koff*-- as well as the awkwardness that sometimes accompanies the initial pairing-up of artist with author in the Big Bang, I introduce to you:
Awkward Date is Awkward
A Comment-Fic Meme
The Rules:
1) Comment to this post with TRUE STORIES. Your first-person adventures in dating or not-quite-dating or hook-up or relationship awkwardness. OK Cupid bizarreness! Blind date disasters! The drunken office Christmas party! Give us your actual-- or at least only sightly embroidered-- accounts of things which happened to you that to this day still make you facepalm.
2) Prompts should be short, try for 1-2 sentences max. Also, please go easy on the TMI. (Save all the gory details for your next drunk!post).
Example: "I accidentally solicited sex on my college's anonymous message boards, and someone showed up at my door. I wasn't interested after all, so we parted on good, clothed terms with a fistbump."
3) Fill those prompts with fic! Slash or het, G-rated to NC-17, SPN or RPS, any and all pairings! Writers don't have to follow the prompt to the letter, only the essence of the story needed to be maintained. Turn the stories into happy endings or crank the awkwardness up to 11.
Example: Jensen accidentally solicits sex on his college's anonymous message boards and Jared shows up at his door, and they discover they've had a thing for each other forever from afar and then they totally make out.
Example: Sam accidentally solicits sex on Stanford's anonymous message boards and Dean shows up at his door, and they feel uncomfortable that they're brothers so they part on good, clothed terms with a fistbump for about twenty seconds and then they totally make out.
Example: Ellen accidentally solicits sex on the Hunter's Network anonymous message boards and Bobby shows up at the Roadhouse door. Total make out.
