*pokes f-list* Where are Reggie and T_15 with the Merlin reaction posts? I keep refreshing my f-list and you aren't there!
Anyway, in the absence of flailing all over someone else's post, I'll flail here instead.
(
Merlin 4.3 flailing behind the cut. It probably doesn't need to be said, but this post contains SPOILERS!!! )

But he did get a very cool swordfight before he went, which was great to see. But now there will be no regular Anthony Head on my tv, which makes me sad :-(

But yes, definitely a good ending for Uther.
The angst! It's really gone quite dark this series, and much as I like the darker tone, I do hope they're going to have some fun occasionally.

And Bradley can really act, which I probably shouldn't sound so surprised about, but it really hit me as I watched this ep that he can *really* act.
Totally had the same reaction! The scene where Uther had been stabbed, and was lying in Arthur's arms was jaw-droppingly good...
But yes, King Arthur - wasn't expecting that this week!
And in other news, Colin Morgan was having entirely too much fun playing the cantakerous old git! ;)

Bradley was good throughout the entire episode, but yeah, the angst scenes and the scenes with him and Tony Head were brilliant in a way that I wasn't expecting. And I just love the way the relationship between Arthur and Merlin is developing. Even considering all the ANGST.

Oh, hell yes. He did look like he was rather enjoying that.
I was expecting more from Phil Davis, though. He's a reasonably big name guest actor, and he was dead within about ten minutes!

My workmates invited me to a Ladies Night at the local United Services club, where they were a having a stripper and disco night. For five quid - yes, you heard it, 5-0 - we got a free glass of wine, disco and two lovely blokes taking their kit of :-) I haven't had so much fun in years. They were Welsh, and wore combat trousers, and waved their willies about a lot, what better way to spend an evening?
I did watch Merlin later. Phil Davies was a bit of a red herring, and Uther's demise was kind of unexpected so early on, and overall I thought it was excellent. Old git!Merlin was a hoot :-)

Old!Merlin is such fun, but it doesn't look like we'll be seeing him again any time soon after last night.
