Merlin 4.3 reaction post
*pokes f-list* Where are Reggie and T_15 with the Merlin reaction posts? I keep refreshing my f-list and you aren't there!
Anyway, in the absence of flailing all over someone else's post, I'll flail here instead.
Oh my god. I didn't actually think they were going to do that. And I definitely didn't think they were going to it in that way. And Bradley can really act, which I probably shouldn't sound so surprised about, but it really hit me as I watched this ep that he can *really* act. And they need to make Colin Morgan cry as often as possible (which, going by the series so far, seems quite likely, to be fair).
I loved the fun bits of the ep, though. So many bits that made me laugh, especially the scene with drunk!Arthur and Merlin after the party, and of course the scenes with Arthur and Old!Merlin. Oh, and the whole, "I need to pee. What? Do you want to watch?" conversation! Seriously, if that wasn't written purely to feed the slash writers I don't know what is!
And then there was angst and pain and crying and oh my god they actually did it! And now we have King Arthur. That's going to take some getting used to.
On the whole, I am really enjoying this series. It's certainly a lot darker tone than previous series, but in some way that I can't quite put my finger on, it seems to have stepped up a notch, and I thoroughly approve.
