I feel like progress is being made, although it's slightly depressing that the pile to-read is still significantly bigger than the pile already read.

Definitely. Although one of the unfortunate down sides with being *so* far behind is when you're reading a Current Archaeology from early last year and find a review of a really interesting looking exhibition - that finished in December 2019! :-(

Magazines definitely count! A friend sent me a huge box of History magazines so I'll be reading through those and then sending them on to another friend.

Ooh, I must update the list for March at some point soon!

I have now managed one book, but am mostly still ploughing through the archaeology, history and science magazines.
