I don't think I'm able to write about the apocalypse without writing it cracky. It happened with Supernatural fic as well. I think I must have read Good Omens a few too many times. ^_^

And they do eventually go on that date, yeah? Because I think I much prefer that ending over them being eaten by a ravenous horde of the undead. *g*

I'm glad you liked it though, and as for the ending. In my head, this is sort of reincarnation fic and they stumble across a, antique shop, Arthur finds Excalibur and they save the world. But maybe they are rescued by the army, or perhaps they find that the zombies can be tamed through music... who knows? They totally go on the date and have fulfilling, mind-melting, adrenaline fuelled 'we're not dead' sex.
