... okay, *our* own, but still- we have a new cat. He's a cream-and-white tabby, and he's not here yet; he's still boarding at the vets after getting his nads snipped and comes home Friday. But Harlem and I are taking primary care of him and my name is on his license, so for the first time in my life I actually own a cat instead of just living

(Hercules was thick as two short planks and Leonidas was a stick. Call him Agathon, the gentle singer and, erm, long time companion of Pausanias.)

We sat him down last night and tried dozens and dozens of names. He nearly wound up being called Basil.

A neutered male cat called Basil would have been *perfect*, for obscure reasons having to do with the original Basil the Great and the hate-on he had for eunuchs.

Congrats on the addition to your family!! I can't wait to see your very own kitty! And what a coincidence since we will be having an addition to our family as well! We are expecting another True baby in July (or so) and we are very excited. The girls are thrilled!
