“What would you do?”

John looked at her, the question taking a little while to work its way to his brain. “If you were pregnant?”

Rogue nodded. “Yeah.”

John swallowed audibly. “Freak out.”

*snort* At least he's honest. This was sweet, Thank you!

That boy really wouldn't have been able to hide his reaction, not to a thing like that.

Being all cool and "i don't care" in the face of Magneto is nothing to your girlfriend tell you she might be pregnant!

Glad you liked it ;)

Hee! I liked that John was honest about what his reaction would be, and how he thinks that the week was just a form of mental torture from Jean.

I'm glad you addressed the issue honestly, from John admitting that he would freak out, to his belief that Dr. Grey was just trying to make them suffer a bit.

Well written!

*Cringe* I don't like to criticize, I really don't, but... ragingpie August 13 2006, 18:16:09 UTC
Wait, wait - Rogue's smart enough to realize the mistake, to even bring up the possibility of abortion, and to go see Jean the very next morning - and Jean, the doctor, isn't smart enough to bring up the morning after pill? Huwha?

I'm really big on the safer-sex/preventing-pregnancies-when-you're-not-ready-for-them thing, so maybe that's why this strikes a chord in me. It's a decent fic otherwise, but that part doesn't sit well with me.

Don't feel bad about criticising, I need it. Plus, I totally understand what you're saying and here are my "excuses"

A) I had written a version in that mentions the morning after pill, but decided to leave it out purely for personal reasons - I get that it prevents pregnancy but it also buggers up a woman's body, or at least can, so I left it unmentioned.

B) Dr. Grey could have totally mentioned it, but Rogue just chose not to pass on that info at this particular time when John's more worried about her being pregnant.

So I'm sorry that it didn't sit well. I tried, and this was more about addressing the lack of condom that I really hadn't intended in the last fic - it only became apparent after someone pointed it out. I always, always remember to write in protection, I just forgot this time.

So it's just mistakes all round, but I've learnt from it.
