Ha ha well, 3+ months since the last post, is it? Uh...

It's been kind of a blur. Reason = all my freakin jobs. I have too many jobs. Too many DAY jobs. And today's main task is picking up another one. (I am beating myself with a stick to work up enthusasim for that. And failing. Hence LJ...)

Wondered where you got to... So the Yen+ zine, is that a targeted thing? Like Shoujo Beat or Shonen Jump or whatever?

Not targeted as in a girl thing vs. a boy thing, nope. Rather it's been somewhat brilliantly collected, I think, to appeal to as many tastes as possible. Well, and still be popular enough to sell well. And I hope it sells a million trillion copies, too, cause, geez, we NEED an anthology that publishes original work.

You probably won't like everything in it (Jack Frost: *rolls eyes*) but it's a pretty good value for what you get. I love the bonus pages Svet and Narae Lee create every month-- Nightschool and Maximum Ride are being created in real-time (as opposed to being licensed), which I think is just so cool.

Wah, me too! Regrets! Regrets for missing you at SDCC! Are you planning on an east coast con next year? 'Cause we're having a big gathering clustered around NYCC in Feb. All the usual suspects plus a lot of peer pressure applied to Queenie Chan to get her back to the states. :D

Btw, having caught up on LJ over the past couple of days - I LOVE your posts about the progress on your book. So exciting!

Ah, I'm glad you liked it! That was more a brief education for the bloggers than any real useful info for artists. We'd talked about doing a real how-to book one day, I think it could be really cool.

Hey Dee!! I just subscribed to Yen Plus magazine!! Nightschool looks pretty good so far!! Keep up the good work!! I wonder when I'll be as busy as you... I don't know but I feel excited when I think about it... I shouldn't, shouldn't I? @___@

Awesome! I hope the magazine does really well. I don't love everything in it but I appreciate the diversity. One of my unexpected favs so far, I think, is One Fine Day. It's just so random ultra-cuteness...
