[hi not!son. not!dad has just spotted you under the tree, but only because Kwan has started loping towards you first.

he looks like he wants to play, but instead he'll sort of flop down on his stomach in front of you and stare expectantly. Hong Kong hasn't quite caught up yet.]

[ahhh tiger out of nowhere. Kwan gets a blank stare for a second but Charles is quite fond of him and so he obligingly sets down the violin to

roll him over and pat his fat tiger belly so normal]

[hehehe yay fuss ;u; Kwan rolls around obligingly, making happy tiger noises

by this point Hong Kong arrives. tsk tsk tiger B|] Wai, you like, shouldn't run off like that. [he spots the violin then speaks to Charles] Practising?

[so cute tiger, so cute. rolling him from side to side...]

Ah, yes. I've gone too long without doing so.

[ Guess who's sneaking up from behind a pile of canned beets. Yes, it's Annoying McIrritant! ]

Suuuuuurprise!

[joy, his shopping trip wouldn't be complete otherwise! he turns around, but forgets whatever he was originally intending to say because beets...]

What in the world are you intending to make with those?

What, aren't they good enough? I have to restock the kitchen. Someone's got to do it, though I don't really wanna. Let's see...beets.

[ Silence. In her job, Komachi has learnt to detect impending scorn. Therefore, she next speaks with some trepidation. ]

Beeted beets.

[impending scorn indeed, though he feels he shouldn't be surprised over this, having already seen the fruit of her kitchen labors at the bakery.]

Are you that fond of the flavor of beets, or just lacking in culinary skill?

Not bad.

Thank you. [he sounds more arrogant than appreciative] Where have you been? Out being a hazard to those on the road?

Excuse me?

Don't think I've forgotten your horrid driving skills just yet. [even if it was partially his fault and there are more important things like the fact that they survived anyway, but he's not going to mention that!]

[Rin was gonna go home, but she pauses to look around and see where the violin music's coming from. What can I say, she's a curious person.]

[hopefully she's a fan of classics because that's pretty much the only thing he's playing when it isn't scales. currently it's a short section of the devil's trill sonata, though he stops himself quite often to continue tuning.]

[she likes all kinds of music, although she isn't quite as knowledgeable of the classics, since - well, she can't sing to them, is all. But she eventually finds Charles, and waits for one of those tuning moments to question him]

What are you trying to play? ♪

[he looks up to the source of the voice mid-adjustment, both curious and mildly irritated, though that's no fault of hers. he's just in a foul mood and man, who knew people would try talking to him if he was in a public place!]

A rendition of the Devil's Trill, but only for tuning purposes.
