[after all that piano talk with Iceland, Charles has taken it upon himself to finally test out the piano in the school.

anyone in the vicinity will be able to hear a rather well-played song, though it pauses at random intervals while the tiny grumpy pianist gripes about a few out-of-tune chords.

the door to the room is open. listen in/bother/steal ( Read more... )

[the surprise just caused him to play a sour note. hope you enjoy a General Miffed Expression directed at you.]

...Thank you. Don't you have anything better to do with your time than appear out of the ether?

You do.

[also, moving the rest of the cake away.]

And stop stealing my food, would you? [he knows it was you]

[she has no real reason to be in the school, but Latvia was asking for homework help the other day, so let's say she broke in to steal the answer sheets.

but the piano makes her pause. she's not sure where it's coming from, but she listens for a bit.]

[the current song breaks off half-way on a somewhat sour note. apparently the pianist is slightly bipolar as after a short pause, the music switches to a slightly more melancholic tune. probably one a good deal more familiar than Rachmaninoff, too.]

[she goes perfectly still, listening. she recognizes it, but doesn't really think of why someone here might know it. just hearing something familiar is so wholly distracting, and she leans against the wall to listen.]

[hope you weren't enjoying that song too much. he's almost finished with it but it breaks off at another wrong note, which is followed by a rather frustrated yell and the sound of something being chucked across the room since he's so mature.

the concept of rusty playing after a thirty year break obviously doesn't mean much to his perfectionist brain.]

[yo friend

guess who's turned up to walk back with you again. Clearly you have no choice in the matter braw.

Anyway, he turned up at the front on his way over from the high school, but he hadn't spotted you and thus has come inside the elementary to look. It doesn't take him long to find CHARLIE, as he follows the sound of the piano playing.

Don't mind him blatantly just standing next to you to listen now.]

[sup NOTfriend. :|

since you're a nice quiet ninja and he's somewhat used to your appearing out of nowhere at the end of the day, he's not too bothered by your presence and continues playing the song the rest of the way through.

surprisingly, there aren't too many mistakes. which is probably good for the rest of the music room, including the band stands that he hasn't yet flung into the opposite wall out of frustration.]

[Good good

He does sit nice and quietly

Hope you don't mind the bottomless pit going for one of your cakes though.]

[you might be getting A LOOK when you take one, but he doesn't do anything to stop the cake stealing.

as soon as the song is done, though, he's going to be moving the remainder awaaay because sharing is for losers.]
