Ladies in Lavender
Review © Deb Mudie, 2005

Take your mother to this movie, and maybe your grandmother too - they’ll really like it, and be pleased with you for thinking of them. You’ll probably enjoy it too - but if you’re more of a fan of smash-‘em up Hollywoods, then Ladies in Lavender will put you to sleep. Snore quietly.

Thanks for the review. I did see "Tea With Mussolini" and enjoyed it, so maybe I'll check this one out too.

Interestingly, I still haven't seen Tea with Mussolini. But it's now on my list :)

It looks like something I'll watch when it comes on pay TV. Not to say that's bad but I just don't see it being a watching prioity. Especially since I'm about 50 or so movies behind in my desired watching list. Sometimes being at the "legitimate" theater all the time sucks (but only a little bit).

The only recent release I've gotton to see (besides Ep. III, which I was kind of required to see) was "Palindromes". It was absolutely wonderful.

What's Palindromes? Not something I've come across before.
