Very Important Literary Discussion

Okay, so sarahcross and I were having a very important literary discussion about characters who are a part, or are becoming a part, of our modern mythology. But without a system to rank them (like, you know, Zeus and Hera are the bosses, Athena's his daughter, etc., etc..) it's hard to really put them in a modern perspective. I personally think Batman would win, but I also think Batman would win the Presidency, the Miss America contest, at the Internets and basically at everything except a footrace with the Flash and beating up Superman (that would be a draw.)

And yes, that does mean I think he would win in a fight against Wolverine.

Lady, you are crazy. All Bruce would have to do is go, "Hey look, Jean just broke up with Scott!" Logan would turn around and before you know it, we're roasting marshmallows on adamantium claws.

Well, obviously I am Team Bruce, but Edward Cullen has stone skin, right? (Sort of? Don't quote me on that.) And can run so fast he is nearly invisible. AND he reads minds. So I think he might stand a chance against Batman.

Now, if Edward turned Batman into a vampire, Batman would win for sure. Because his special vampire power would be the Power of Pure Awesome.

But then Bella would totally be Team Bruce too, so Edward probably wouldn't risk that. ^.~

Batman. Because he is awesome and great and well characterized and our love for his genius is undying.

(and because the Legion of Superheroes might show up and take Cullen DOWN)

...although I haven't seen Dark Knight yet.

Edward would kick Batman's butt. And I loves me some Bruce Wayne. But the stone skin and the mind reading have it all over the batmobile and his gadgety-gadgets.
